In August of 2016, Martinez Elementary launched their house system.

How it works:

Students, faculty, and staff are divided into the four individual houses. Students will remain in these houses until they complete the 5th grade. Throughout the year, these four houses will compete against each other for points, which have the potential to earn their house various rewards that are awarded on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

Our why:

The goal of the house system is to provide an opportunity for students and faculty to interact across grade levels. In doing so, the school community will benefit from positive peer encouragement, increased school spirit, and healthy competition.
